The Indigo Ginkgo Leaves pattern began with leaves from a 100 year old neighborhood ginkgo biloba tree. To complete this pattern, I placed the leaves on Solarfast, a light sensitive dye, painted fabric and exposed the print to the sun. I took a photograph of that print, created a repeat in Photoshop, and then uploaded the pattern onto Spoonflower.
